- Re-formation of Cornell Hills Boat Association in 2008
- No financial support provided from the community
- Fall 2008 – Docks and Landing structure were removed without notification by third party; Boat Association contacted Police; No resolution
- May 2009 – 4 Docks were re-anchored into the old location on the lake at bottom of current stairs from Reynolds Rd to 440 Line - Thanks to resident John Andrighetti, Mike Frisbie; Landing is still not assembled
- April 2010 – Boat Association requested help for Community residents to help in the clean up and rebuilding of the pathway from Cornell Road to Reynolds Road between 41 and 45 Cornell Road. For less than $100 and less than 3 hours, the pathway is now clear and safe to pass. Large thanks goes to the efforts of the residents that helped.
- Next Steps – continue to focus on understanding the options for rebuilding the stairs on the approved property from Reynolds Road to the 440 Line already marked by flags; Continue to focus on understanding our options in rebuilding a landing from the 440 Line to the existing Boat docks
- Mike Frisbie reviewing the current scope and effort of rebuilding the stairs from Reynolds Road to the 440 Line
- Discussions with the Environmental Impact Committee (EIC) & Brian Woods of First Light to understand the essential requirements needed to move forward with our plans
- Best to use all natural materials to ensure it can be reduced back to nature as years pass
- Stairs need to move to the left when facing the lake from Reynolds Road
- Reviewed with residents why current stairs need to be replaced and moved
- Cornell Road should be able to comply with the EIC requirements within 1-2 months
- Ellen Blasi reviewed the results of the Stairs Survey that was distributed to all residents in early March
- Responses : 15:YES; 8:NO;
- Boat Association will continue to move forward with Stairs Project
